The Daily Telegraph reported in 2010 that "Tesco, the supermarket chain, is set to take on New Look, Primark and Topshop with the opening of a standalone clothing store in London's West End ... The supermarket, which is more used to operating from out–of–town sheds than chi–chi boutiques, has already looked at potential sites on Oxford Street and High Street Kensington. The store would be branded F&F after Tesco's own–label clothing range, previously called Florence & Fred.
